Dirigir es innovar

La turbulencia económica, tecnológica, demográfica, política, legal, social, cultural, ecológica y comunicacional está sacudiendo la competitividad global.
Saltos bruscos. Discontinuidades y sorpresas. Verdaderas avalanchas de relámpagos de fuego que no paran de crecer y de golpear. De esfumarse y recrear. De inundarnos de vulnerabilidad, de complejidad, de riesgo, de ambigüedad y de peligro.
En este estado cada vez más alejado del equilibrio, DIRIGIR hoy es cabalgar el pánico para competir en el infierno, y hoy no existe dirigir sin innovar.
Desde una perspectiva macroeconómica, la competitividad de un país es el sustento fundamental del desarrollo económico, del empleo y de la prosperidad. Pero para lograr el desarrollo económico sólo existen dos caminos contrapuestos: el de la burocracia estatal o el del emprendimiento rentable dirigido a crear valor económico sustentable. La creación de valor económico sólo es sustentable si además crea valor social. El desarrollo requiere que la sociedad sea opulenta para que las empresas puedan ser rentables en un mercado cada vez mayor, cada vez más exigente y cada vez más demandante.
El emprendimiento rentable es el manejo de la innovación hacia la competitividad, el proceso de diagnosticar el funcionamiento organizacional, el planeamiento de las acciones específicas de innovación, la implementación de las mismas en el carácter y en el funcionamiento de la organización, y la monitorización de los resultados de las intervenciones realizadas.

Excelente la frase “DIRIGIR hoy es cabalgar el pánico para competir en el infierno”, muy grafica y acertada.
Lamentablemente en un país en donde escasea la coherencia en las decisiones políticas y donde los proyectos estatales son discontinuos, ya que no se basan en objetivos claros y definidos que tampoco se sostienen en el tiempo, la incertidumbre se profundiza; los exabruptos que atacan a la economía global se amplían y la vorágine del caos se acelera. Por lo tanto, los directivos deben ser más audaces y moverse con mayor plasticidad. Innovar es la solución para mantener la competitividad, pero la coyuntura no ayuda. La volatilidad vuelve muy compleja la tarea de visualizar el futuro, por lo que dificulta la toma de decisiones de largo plazo. Obliga una visión miope que induce a un comportamiento cortoplacista que a lo sumo favorece el crecimiento económico, pero de ninguna manera estimula el desarrollo. Así, el empresario no solo debe asumir la tarea de valorizar su empresa, sino que debe ser responsable de aportar al desarrollo de la sociedad en la que opera. El desafío es monumental, pero muchos líderes lo han asumido. El premio es el éxito, el dinero y el prestigio; el consuelo, haber actuado en un país que fomenta más la inacción que la actitud emprendedora.
